Hello everyone! My name is Crystal Pratt and I teach fifth grade science.  I love coming to work every day and couldn’t imagine teaching anywhere else. I am so lucky to be part of such a wonderful teaching staff and to have the opportunity to teach the great students we have here at Carmichaels.

I graduated from California University of Pennsylvania earning a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Elementary Education with certification K-6. I began my teaching career at Carmichaels in 2009 working as a long-term substitute . I was then hired in 2013 for my current fifth grade teaching position.

I teach Life, Earth, and Physical Science. I enjoy preparing lessons that allow for a year filled with exploration, excitement, and accomplishments. My students and I have a classroom community that is grounded with mutual respect, a comfortable environment that invites questions and exploration, and a passion to make learning a life-long adventure. My goal is to have every child reach their highest academic potential and have a positive, memorable learning experience in my classroom.
