Education/Teaching Experience:
I graduated from West Greene in 2004 and then attended Waynesburg College for Journalism and Sports Information. I graduated in 2008 with a Communication Degree. It was very hard to find a job in a field I had lost interest in. I took some time off to figure out just what it was I really wanted to do. I enrolled in Cal U’s master’s program for elementary and special education and graduated in 2013. I completed my student teaching experience in Connellsville School District and I learned a lot from my cooperating teachers. After graduation I was lucky enough to be hired here at Carmichaels. I worked for a year in the middle/high school as an inclusion teacher before moving to the elementary. This is where I have been for the last three years (and they have been a great 3 years)!
More about me:
My husband and I live in Uniontown with our three cats. I absolutely love the Backstreet Boys and I have seen them in concert about five or six times. I also like listening to country music. I played basketball all through high school and I played in adult leagues as I got older. Now, I coach the middle school girls’ team here. I also played lacrosse in college and spent a few years coaching that sport in high school and college. I love being at the beach and I hate winter and snow!
