About Mrs. Fraley

Hello! My name is Mrs. Bethany Fraley. I teach First grade at Carmichaels Elementary and love it!

Here's a little about me!

I attended Brownsville Area High School followed by California University of Pennsylvania. I graduated in 2011 with my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Elementary Education K-6. After graduation, I became a substitute teacher in a local school district for one year and finally came to Carmichaels to be a substitute teacher in 2012. I was hired as a fourth grade teacher in 2014 and moved to first grade in 2015. I love teaching first grade and can’t wait to see what the future has to hold there!

In my spare time outside of school, I spend time with my husband, Scott, dog, Riley and cat, Oliver. I take Riley on walks as much as the weather permits! My husband and I love to attend Pittsburgh Pirate games during baseball season. Let's Go Bucs!

My Teaching Philosophy:

I believe children learn best when they are involved in the learning process. In my classroom, I try to give a hands-on learning approach in all subjects as much as possible. They have the opportunity to use manipulatives and experiment with items that pertain to each particular lesson. I believe keeping students involved in the learning process promotes a higher rate of success for their future. "Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." -Benjamin Franklin

"When love and skill work together, expect a masterpiece." -John Ruskin
