Mrs. Drury has eighteen years experience as a music educator.  Previously, she was the Director of Bands at Brooke High School in Wellsburg, West Virginia, and Instrumental Music Director for the St. Clairsville-Richland City School District in St. Clairsville, Ohio.  During her career, she has served as Assistant Band Director for the O.V.A.C. All-Star Marching Band and been nominated for Outstanding Teacher for Northeastern Ohio Region.  She has also served as a guest band conductor and flute adjudicator in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.                 The goal of the Carmichaels Area Elementary General Music, Band, and Choral Music program is to provide all students with a strong foundation in the fundamentals of music.  Also, it is important for students to understand the relationship music has with other subjects as well as cultivate creativity and appreciation for the arts.  With a strong foundation, appreciation, and enjoyment of music, students are encouraged to continue their music education as they proceed onto the Middle and High School and build on what they have learned here.
