Welcome to Bellvia!

Thanks for stopping by! I love getting to know my students and their families, so I wanted to share a little bit of information about myself.

My name is Brittney Bell, and I have been teaching at Carmichaels since Fall of 2014. Prior to teaching at Carmichaels, I received my Bachelor's degree from Waynesburg University in 2013. I also received my Master's degree from California University of Pennsylvania in 2016.

I teach 4th grade English/Language Arts, and I am the book club/reading competition sponsor for the elementary school. Teaching is truly my passion! My goal as a teacher is to engage students in learning, and to make lessons as fun as possible. In fact, I often refer to my students as "my kiddos" because I love and support each of them. I believe it is important for students to know they are cared for when they come to school!

Though fourth grade is the first year that students switch classes, the fourth grade team works diligently to keep lines of communication open with each other and parents/guardians. Because of this, we sign agendas each day, whether the students have homework or not. This is to ensure that parents/guardians are aware of what is going on in each classroom. Though this is the case, parents/guardians are always welcome to schedule meetings and meet with us face-to-face! We look forward to meeting with you.

Lastly, I would like to mention some of my personal favorites! I have a twin sister, and being a twin has shaped who I am as a person. I also have two brothers and another sister; I think siblings are the greatest. Traveling the world is on the top of my priority list; so far, I have been to the Cayman Islands, Honduras, Belize, Jamaica, London (twice), Paris, Amsterdam, Belgium, and Ireland. My favorite food is pizza, and my favorite hobbies are singing and dancing (very poorly, I might add). I love to joke, dance, and sing with my students! I look forward to doing so as the year goes on!
